Telugu Desam president N Chandrabau Naidu on Thursday threatened to launch an agitation if the Government failed to provide support price to the farmers.
He told newsmen the farmers were facing difficult situations due to the wrong policies adopted by the Centre and the States. He urged the government to extend financial aid to farmers and supply fertilizers and seeds at subsidised rate.
Reacting to the Prajapatham programme, he said the government should interact with people and redress their problems on a time-bound manner.
He urged the Prime minister to review the irrigation projects works taken up under the Jalayagnam programme.
Naidu also urged the PM to accord national project status for Polavaram, Devadula and Pranahita-Chevella projects.
