Kadubandi Srinivasa Rao, YSRCP MLA of Srungavarapu Kota constituency in Vizianagaram district was tested positive for corona virus. This is the first such case in the state where a legislator contracted the virus. His personal security officer also was infected with the virus.
Recently, the MLA returned from a trip to the US and remained in self-isolation for a few days. After experiencing some symptoms, Srinivasa Rao consulted doctors and underwent Truenat tests which indicated positive result. Later, the results and samples were sent to Kakinada for further confirmation. These results are awaited. Apart from the MLA, his gunman was also tested positive.
Last week, the MLA attended the Budget session of the Legislature in Amaravati. He is said to have participated in several programmes and functions for the past few days.
