The joint collector of Rangareddy district, Jaganmohan was arrested by the police here on Tuesday following ACB raids on his property which exceeded his known sources of income.
Jaganmohan is likely to be produced before the Nampally court on Wednesday.
Earlier in the morning, Anti-Corruption Bureau officials carried out search and seizure operation on the properties owned by Jaganmohan, and uncovered assets worth over Rs 20 crore. The assets amassed by the official far exceed his official sources of income, the ACB officials felt.
Jaganmohan began his career as a junior lecturer in 1986, and became the RDO of Siddipet in 1990 after qualifying in the APPSC Group I Services. Later, he was conferred as an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer in 2005. He became the Joint Collector of Vizianagaram in 2006. Posted to Ranga Reddy in 2008, Jaganmohan has been the Joint Collector of Ranga Reddy since then.
