The High Court on Wednesday directed the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam to keep P Seshadri, Officer on Special Duty (OSD), away from his duties.
Disposing a petition filed by Maganti Gopal Reddy, who challenged extension given to Seshadri as OSD in the office of the Peshkar, the court found fault with TTD administration.
The petitioner pleaded that Seshadri was shown undue favour by the TTD. The court took exception to the TTD extending the services of Seshadri, who was suspended following the misappropriation of 300 gold medallions, each weighing five grams.
Earlier, the court stayed the TTD orders giving three-year extension to Seshadri as Officer on Special Duty up to June 2011.However, the TTD extended his service as the probe committee exonerated him of the charges.However, the court directed the TTD to keep Seshadri away from duties until further orders.
