The Census-2011 will help plan welfare schemes and programmes for all sections of people in the budget, stated Chief Minister K Rosaiah.
Rosaiah registered his name for the Census-2011 at his Ameerpet residence on Wednesday and called upon the people to register their names in the Census and provide correct information to the enumerators and supervisors when they seek information.
“If the people provide correct data about their family background, it would help town planners and economists prepare budget for the state,” he said.
“The government will take steps to present people-oriented budget based on the data provided by people,” he claimed.
Earlier, Governor E S L Narasimhan, the first citizen of the state, launched the Census operations 2011 on April 26 by registering his name for the Census.Nearly 7,500 enumerators have been drafted for the Twin Cities for the Census.
