Shoaib wants his passport back

Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, whose passport was seized by the city police following a complaint filed by his first wife Ayesha Siddiqui, moved the High Court on Thursday seeking his passport back.Admitting the plea of the cricketer, the High Court listed it for hearing on Friday.

As part of the compromise hammered out by community elders, Ayesha had agreed to withdraw her complaint against Shoaib after he agreed to give her a legal divorce before going ahead with his marriage with Tennis star Sania Mirza.

On April 5, the city police grilled Shoaib for two hours, while he was staying at Sania's residence after Ayesha complained to the police about his alleged cheating, criminal intimidation and matrimonial harassment .The police also asked Shoaib not to leave the country till the completion of the investigation.
