With the day curfew having been lifted, people on Monday poured out in large numbers and the deserted Charminar area grew crowded in the afternoon.
The day-curfew in the 25 police station areas of Hyderabad was lifted following improvement in the law and order situation.
The police sources said the situation was under control and all business establishments were functioning as usual.
The Road Transport Corporation resumed all its city services on Monday.
However, pillion riding on motorcycles was banned in curfew-bound areas from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Processions and demonstrations were also prohibited.
Additional Commissioner of Police (Crimes) K. Narasimha Reddy said over 152 cases were booked and 165 persons, especially history-sheeters and youngsters, arrested so far, while another 100 persons were taken into preventive custody.
“There are no politicians in the list of arrested persons and all the accused were from the city,” Reddy added.
