KSR Murthy too to quit PRP.........

Hyderabad, July 15 :-

Yet another Praja Rajyam party (PRP) leader is on the verge of walking out of the party.

Former IAS officer and senior leader, Mr K S R Murthy, on Wednesday has thrown enough hints of deserting the party and raised a banner of revolt against the party leadership, Mr Chiranjeevi. Talking to media persons, who met him on Wednesday, the former IAS officer, who has been associated with the PRP since its establishment, said that the PRP president never honoured the suggestions of party seniors.

“There is absolutely no respect for the seniors. Thus there is no point in continuing in such a dispensation where the seniors have no place. We have weathered many a storm in politics. But our words do not carry any importance here,” he observed but refused to make any comments on the leaders who have already deserted the party. “I have nothing to say anything about those who have left the PRP,” he said.

He even said that his suggestion of ordering for an inquiry into the corruption charges leveled against certain leaders was not honoured. “It was given a safe goby. Mr Chirajeevi has totally neglected the demand for a probe into the charges,” he explained.

Mr Murthy is of the opinion that Mr Chiranjeevi woefully lacks leadership qualities. “He has to learn a lot,” he felt. The former IAS officer said that he would take a decision on his future course of action in the coming months. “I have enough time to take my own decision,” he explained.

He strongly believes that the PRP has been branded as a party of one section of people. Pressed further, he said that the party has been identified as a political dispensation belonging to Kapus. ‘No one has any objection for this. But at the same time, the leadership has to take up the causes of other sections also,” he said.

“I feel that the primary reason for the PRP’s poor show in the recent general election is that the social justice slogan did not go to the grassroots level. The pet slogan of the leadership had not gone deep into the people. It finally remained only at Hyderabad level,” he felt.
