It is time for a relaunch of the Telangana movement. After an introspection, the leaders of the agitation see the need to keep the passions of T-fire burning before it is extinguished.
Announcing the second phase of agitation for Telangana, the political Joint Action Committee (JAC) on Friday appealed to the students not to resort to suicides.
The JAC leaders told mediamen a two-day campaign would be launched at Komaravelli and it will spread to Kagaznagar on April 9.
In the campaign, the JAC leaders would create awareness on the agitation for separate statehood and seek the people’s support. The leaders would also counsel students against taking extreme steps.
The JAC has lost its base after the Telugu Desam Party was expelled and Congress members staged a walkout. A few students and other outfits of students have come out of the JAC. Only the Telangana Rashtra Samiti is supporting the JAC.
