Ten MLAs of Rayalaseema region led by T.G Venakatesh on Thursday submitted a 150-page report to V.K Duggal, the member- secretary of Srikrishna Committee.
Venkatesh told newsmen that the report details the backwardness of Rayalaseema region and the need to allocate more funds to Hyderabad and Telangna regions. It mainly stessed on remaining united as an integrated state.
Elaborating, the Kurnool MLA said since Hyderabad was a state capital, people from all over the state came and settled here. So they cannot be viewed as settlers.
When a sked about separate Rayalaseema, the leaders said their first priority is to stand for an integrated Andhra Pradesh. ''If a separate Telangana is carved out, then we will consider going in for a separate Rayalaseema or stay with the Coastal Andhra Pradesh.''
The Telugu Desam Party is likely to submit its report to the panel on April 9. The Telangana Rashtra Samiti may submit its report to the panel on April 7.
