The bi-weekly Express from Visakhapatnam to Mumbai became operational on Wednesday.
Purandareswari, Union Minister of State for Human Resources, flagged off the train at Visakhapatnam railway station in the presence of the local MLAs, MPs of Vizag district and East Coast Railway officials.
The train (No. 2749) will leave Visakhapatnam on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 09.00 hrs and reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminus(Kurla) Mumbai at 11.05 a.m the next day.
In the return direction, the train (No.2750) will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Kurla)Mumbai on Thursdays and Sundays at 12.25 hrs and reach Visakhapatnam at 14.45 hrs the following day.
En-route the train will halt at Rajahmundry, Tanuku, Bhimavaram, Akividu, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Kazipet,Secunderabad,Vikarabad, Wadi, Solapur and Pune in both the directions. These trains will have eighteen coaches comprising one AC 2 Tier, eight Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and Two Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches.
