Elections to local bodies will be held as per schedule, according to Chief Mnister K Rosaiah here on Monday.
Speaking to the media, here on Monday, the CM said `` the decision whether the elections should be held on party lines or not has not yet been taken.’’ ``This point needs to be discussed before we take a final decision,’’ he added.
Regarding the evaluation of answer scripts of Telangana students in Telangana itself he pointed out that it is meaningless to press for such demands.
Referring to the reinstatement of D Nalini, the DSP of Medak town, who resigned in the second week of December, the CM said the decision was taken on humanitarian grounds. She was given the posting purely on humanitarian grounds after a lapse of three months.
As reported earlier Nalini `shot to fame’ overnight for becoming the first police officer in Andhra Pradesh to have resigned in support of separate Telangana. But days later, she even sent in a letter withdrawing her resignation.
Nalini, who belonged to the 2007 batch of Group I service officers, was posted in Medak five months prior to her resignation amid much fanfare on December 9.
