Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu held discussions with the Communist Party (Marxist) general secretary B V Raghavulu and Communist Party of India general secretary K Narayana here on Monday.
Following the CPM’s decision to contest the ensuing by-elections in Telangana region, the talks assume significance. However, the outcome of the TDP’s decision whether to contest the by-elections in Telangana has not been revealed.
Regarding their agitation against the soaring prices, the parties have come to a common understanding to fight unitedly. The parties plan to chalk out programmes to stage dharnas in protest against the rise in prices.
Chandrababu alleged that the Government has brought the essential commodities under VAT as the prices have sky-rocketed. ``We need to bring it to the notice of the Government these things so that the prices will be held under check, '' added the TDP president.
Apart from discussing the latest developments in the state, the leaders are believed to have confabulated the ensuing by-polls to be held for six Rajya Sabha seats.
