Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi has demanded a judicial probe into the Thursday night's mudslide at Chimakurthy, which claimed 12 lives.
Minister for Mines and Textiles Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, who was deputed to oversee the rescue and relief operations, explained to Chiranjeevi on Saturday the Government’s efforts to exhume the bodies trapped under the earth.
Chiranjeevi suggested that the quarry firm, Hamsa Minerals and Exports Ltd management, be taken to task for violation of safety norms.
