True to his nomenclature, 'Opposition' leader and Telugu Desam president Nara Chandrababu Naidu criticized the Railway budget presented by Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday.
Expressing disappointment over the Budget, the TDP chief said the announcements of grants for new railway lines and the new trains for the state are only an eye-wash.
``The state's rail needs had been ignored in the past and the rail budget is still neglecting the state. The only solution to this problem is that the Railway Ministry should go to a person from AP. Only then the State can have some good railway projects, ‘’ the TDP chief added.
Meanwhile, Vijayashanti, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti MP from Medak welcomed the Railway budget and said there was ''something'' in the budget for Telangana, which is a good sign. The projects will certainly bring cheer to the people of Telangana.
