Telangana MPs meet Manmohan

The MPs from Telangana region met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday and presented to him the problems that are being faced by their respective constituents in the wake of the recent developments on the issue of Telangana.

The MPs assured the PM that they would abide by the decision of the High Command and expressed the need for taking urgent action on the issue to prevent the situation from going out of control. They narrated the plight  of the students and the suicide of a youth who set himself ablaze.

The Telangana MPs urged the PM to change the terms of reference of the Srikrishna panel so as to meet the demands of the people of Telangana.

The MPs said "the State authorities are not conveying the ground realities in the Telangana region to the Centre and party High Command. We want to present the real situation to the senior party leaders.’’

Manmohan Sing  after giving  a patient  hearing, sympathized with the MPs and said he would look into the matter keeping in mind the people of both the regions.
