TDP MLA A. Revanth Reddy on Friday alleged that IT Minister K. Tarakarama Rao was having links with drug peddlers who are operating pubs in Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and other posh areas in the city. He dared Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao to take legal action against him and put him in jail as he was making an open allegation against him and his son.
Speaking to press persons at Assembly Media Point, Revanth Reddy said that the drug peddler, who is operating drugs racket, is running an event management company and operating the pubs primarily to supply drugs even to the students in the posh colonies. He alleged that the drug peddler was a close relative of KCR. He said that the company, which was blacklisted in the States of Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra, has been permitted to run pubs in Telangana. He said he wanted to raise the question in the Assembly, but it was not allowed by Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy.
Revanth Reddy said he would expose the involvement of the Chief Minister and his relatives in the drug racket. He said based on a private complaint sent to the Chief Justice of Supreme Court, the Apex Court judge has directed the Central agency of Narcotics and Enforcement Bureau to investigate into the matter. He said he has full faith on judiciary and it would act on his complaint.
