Son of a TRS Corporator and his friends beat up and stabbed the supervisor of a toll plaza when he asked them to pay the toll fare.
According to police, the attack took place on Monday night at Kadthal toll plaza in Ranga Reddy district on Srisailam Highway. The accused, Manish Goud, is the son of BN Reddy Nagar TRS corporator Laxmi Prasanna. Manish and his five friends, who were allegedly in inebriated condition, created a ruckus at the toll gate when the manager asked them to pay the toll fare of Rs 30. They beat up the supervisor, Rajesh, and also stabbed him.
Meanwhile, police swung into action immediate after getting information about the attack from the toll plaza staff. Kadthtal Sub-Inspector Srikanth chased and arrested the assailants who were trying escape in their car after committing the offence. A case of attempt to murder under Section 307 has been registered against them. The injured supervisor was immediately to a nearby hospital for treatment where he is said to be out of danger. The entire incident was caught on camera and the video went viral on social media.
Reacting on the incident, IT Minister K. Tarakarama Rao, in his Tweet, assured stern action against those responsible for the incident.
