Kadapa, Feb 3: Kadapa MP Y S Janganmohan Reddy on Wednesday unveiled the bronze statue of former chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at Balapanur in Simhadripuram mandal in the district.He told reporters that the poor, who had pinned high hopes on the leadership of Rajasekhara Reddy, suffered a great loss in his death.Jagan said his father had a special place in the hearts of the disadvantaged sections.Paying rich floral tributes at his statue, Minister of State for Steel Sai Pratap said YSR rule had ushered in a glorious phase in the State.
Every welfare scheme being implemented in the State in the past five years bore the mark of Rajasekhara Reddy, he added.District in-charge Minister Galla Arunakumari said the former chief minister had a solution for every problem in the State.Minister for Minority Welfare Mohammed Ahmadulla and MLC Vivekananda Reddy also paid tributes to the departed leader.An all-religion prayers were conducted on the occasion.Later, Jagan unveiled another bronze statue at Kovaraguntapalle in the mandal.
