The Congress party on Thursday issued notice of contempt of the House against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao alleging that he had misled the House on the issue of fee reimbursement.
The Congress members said that they had served the contempt notice against the Chief Minister under the rule 168. The Opposition claimed that the CM had on March 29, 2016 informed the House that the government would clear all the dues under fee reimbursement scheme by April 2016. It was also claimed that the Chief Minister has promised to clear fee sop dues every month. The Opposition said that speaking on the fee reimbursement issue in the Assembly on January 4, the Chief Minister said that it was not practical to clear complete dues under the fee scheme.
The Congress alleged that KCR's present statement on the issue was varying from what he said earlier and claimed that the CM had mislead the House on the contentious issue. Leader of Opposition K. Jana Reddy, MLAs G. Chinna Reddy, T. Jeevan Reddy, A. Sampath Kumar and others signed the contempt notice that was submitted to the Assembly Speaker on Thursday.
