Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Tuesday demanded the state government to make clear as to how many house would it construct in its remaining tenure under the double bedroom housing scheme.
He said that if the TRS chief keeps up his promise on the housing scheme then he would not contest next election and would support KCR in the next elections.
Speaking in the Assembly on the housing scheme, Venkat Reddy said that the double bedroom housing scheme was a major poll promise of the TRS and added that it was this promise that brought TRS to power. He said that even after the completion of half of its term the TRS government has not yet taken up construction of housing under the housing scheme beyond the Siddipet district. He said that except in Siddipet and Erravelli, housing scheme has not taken off yet. People of other districts are also demanding the government to fulfill its poll promise of providing them houses. He said that the people will teach TRS a fitting lesson if it fails to fulfill its major poll promise of providing houses for the poor.
