Minister for IT and Industries, KT Rama Rao on Tuesday said that Telangana has now stood as a role model for the entire country by pursing industry friendly policies which helped the state in gaining top position in the ease of doing business.
Speaking to reporters, KTR said that soon after formation of Telangana, the state government had focused on attracting industries in the state and had drafted industry-friendly policies for the same.
The minister said that Telangana scored 98.78 points in ease of doing business and became an ideal state in India. He credited the success to the entire department which worked in tandem with other departments to attract industries and investments in the state. He said the state had stressed on lesser the government role and more governance to make the process easier.
KTR said that 22 departments worked in tandem to achieve the feat. He also said that 22 amendments were made while 58 GOs were issued in drafting the industrial policies. As many as 1.61 lakh people got employment, the minister added.
