Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was making strenuous efforts to alleviate poverty in the state. The Home Minister, who is on a tour of Warangal Urban district, was speaking at programme on Tuesday.
Narasimha Reddy said that the TRS Government has taken up welfare schemes on a massive scale to achieve social equality and establish Golden State. State government took up welfare measure to up lift the marginalized in a massive way that here is no such example in the entire country, he said.
The Home Minister said the State Government believes in strengthening farmers and providing all the basic infrastructure in villages to achieve overall development. Citing the example of Mission Kakatiya, the minister said that thousands of tanks have received massive levels of water after their water holding capacity was increased as part of the Mission. He said that the farmers in the state were happy as a major problem of irrigation has been solved to a considerable level. The minister said that the Mission Kakatiya also generated huge employment opportunities to rural poor.
Narasimha Reddy reiterated that the reorganization of districts were aimed at bringing administration closer to the people and added that the people will soon be able to reap the benefits of creation of districts in the form of better administration and speedy disbursal of services. The criticism of the Opposition on the issue was false and was based on their political motives, the minster added.
