Remand for Vamsi Chand

Hyderabad, Jan 11: The S R Nagar police on Monday arrested and produced National Students Union of India state chief Ch Vamsi Chand Reddy in the Nampally courts complex on charges of sending ‘provocative’ SMS messages to attack Reliance stores in the wake of TV reports linking conspiracy to the mishap death of former chief minister YSR.

After hearing the prosecution, the judge remanded him in judicial custody till January 25.The Saidabad police and S R Nagar police have registered cases against Reddy for sending ‘provocative’ SMS messages.Earlier, the Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas issued a show-cause notice to Vamsi Chand for allegedly sending a pre-planned ‘provocative’ SMS message to attack Reliance outlets in the city.
