Hyderabad, Jan 9: Representatives of the Joint Action Committee of the employees met Chief Minister K Rosaiah here on Saturday to discuss the implementation of Ninth Pay Revision Commission.During their discussions, the leader of JAC demanded a 70 per cent fitment benefit in pay-scales. Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao and Agriculture Minister Raghuveera Reddy also attended the meeting.After giving a patient hearing to their demands, the Chief Minister proposed to set up a panel of ministers who will hold discussions with the JAC leaders to sort out the issues. Further, the CM assured the leaders that a panel of ministers will hold discussions on Jan 18.
The JAC leaders briefing the media said, in case the Government does not respond in a positive manner, they will go on strike.The `Chalo Hyderabad’ rally scheduled for Jan 22 will go on as usual, they added. Meanwhile, the Government constituted a panel of ministers comprising Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy, Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao and Agriculture Minister Raghuveera Reddy.The panel will hold discussions with JAC leaders.As reported earlier, CS Rao, chairman of IX PRC submitted his report to the Chief Minister on Dec8, 2009.
