Gutha, two MLAs join TRS

Congress MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy and MLA N. Bhaskar Rao and CPI legislator Ravinder Kumar Naik joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi here on Wednesday. Former minister G. Vinod and ex-MP G. Vivek also joined the ruling party along with their supporters.

They were welcomed into TRS by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao himself by offering them a pink 'khandwa'.

Speaking on the occasion, KCR said that leaders from different political parties were coming on a single platform for the development of Telangana State. He dismissed the allegations of Congress that his party was luring the elected representatives of ruling party into its fold. Citing an instance, he said he had never met CPI MLA Ravinder Naik to discuss about his joining. But he himself came forward and offered to join.

The Chief Minister said that the Telangana was on the path of growth which was evident from the pact that State's revenues have increased by over 27% during the first two months of current financial year. He said with the increased resources, Telangana could overcome challenges like poverty and other problems. He said that his dream of "Bangaru (Golden) Telangana" would soon become a reality.

KCR said that the TRS would return to power in 2019 elections as people were completely in favour of his schemes and policies. He accused the opposition leaders of spreading rumours on stability of his government. He dismissed the speculations of mid-term elections in the State.

He claimed that the Congress and TDP had planned to split the TRS immediately after the announcement of election results of 2014. He said since TRS had won 63 seats and had a simple majority to form the government, the Congress and TDP had planned a revolt in TRS. He said he was alerted about the same by MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi who immediately rushed to his house and offered his party's support. He said that the MIM president had played a major role in the formation of his government.

KCR said that his government was focussed on development and not politics. He hoped that the entry of senior leaders like Gutha Sukhender Reddy would strengthen the TRS further.

TRS Secretary General Dr. K. Keshava Rao, State ministers and other senior leaders were also present on the occasion.
