Union Minister of State for Science & Technology Y.S. Chowdary said that the TDP would continue to exert pressure on the Central Government for Special Status for Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons after collecting the certificate of his unanimous election to the Rajya Sabha, along with another TDP leader TG Venkatesh, in Assembly premises on Friday, Chowdhary said that the TDP would strengthen its relationship with the BJP-led NDA Government so as to get Special Status for AP. Further, he hoped that the State would get more funds and projects as Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu now represents AP in Rajya Sabha.
Chowdhary thanked Chief Minister and TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu for giving him an opportunity to represent the party and State in Rajya Sabha for the second term. He also lauded the ideologies of TDP founder late N.T. Ramarao who have always fought for Telugu pride.
TG Venkatesh also thanked Chandrababu Naidu for selecting him for Rajya Sabha MP's post.
