Finance Minister Eatala Rajender on Saturday accused the Central Government of neglecting development of Telangana State.
Speaking to media persons after participating in the Finance Ministers Conference convened by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in New Delhi today, Eatala said that the Centre did not fulfil the promises that were made with Telangana State in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. He said that the newest State was not given any kind of incentives by the Centre.
Eatala said funds for the development of backward districts of Telangana were not released while similar funds were issued to neighbouring Andhra Pradesh. He also insisted on payment of Central Sales Tax dues.
Stating that the development of India was possible only through development of States, Eatala said that the Telangana Government would extend total cooperation in making "Make In India" scheme successful.
