Hyderabad, Dec 30: Hoping to break the ice on the ticklish Telangana issue, the Centre has invited all the eight recognized political parties in the state for talks to be held on January 5. The invitation to the parties has come from the Union Ministry of Home affairs.The parties will hold deliberations on the latest developments in the State and the steps to be taken to bring back normalcy in the state.
The parties invited for talks include the Congress, Telugu Desam, Praja Rajyam, Telangana Rashtra Samiti, Bharatiya Janata Party, Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxists) , and the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (MIM).While the Joint action Committee has welcomed the invitation from the union Home Ministry, Sirisilla MLA and TRS leader K Taraka Rama Rao, said that the party is yet to receive an official information regarding the meeting on January 5.
