Senior IPS officer Anurag Sharma has been appointed as the Director General of Telangana Police.
Anurag Sharma was presently serving as the Incharge DGP since the formation of Telangana State on June 2, 2014. The Union Public Services Commission had recently sent the names of Anurag Sharma, A.K. Khan and Aruna Bahugana to the State Government asking it pick any of them for the DGP's post.
Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Friday signed the file appointing Anurag Sharma on the top post.
