Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao handed over B-form to TRS candidate Pasunuri Dayakar for Warangal Lok Sabha seat by-elections at Telangana Bhavan here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, KCR said it was the responsibility of all TRS leaders and workers of Warangal to ensure the victory of Dayakar in by-elections. He said Dayakar has played an active role in Telangana statehood movement and has been serving the party in a silent manner. He said Dayakar hails from a poor family and could not spend money on his campaign. Therefore, he said that the party would bear the expenses of his entire campaign.
KCR claimed that the performance of TRS Government during the last 16 months would ensure Dayakar's victory. He said that the State Government has initiated several welfare measures during the last 16 months which include 2BHK flats for 60,000 economically weak people. He said Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes, wherein Rs. 51,000 were provided to the poor girls at the time of their marriage, were quite successful. He said the Backward Classes girls would be extended the benefit from next year.
The Chief Minister claimed that Telangana has emerged as the top State in terms of welfare schemes. He said several schemes, being implemented by the TRS Government, were being emulated by other governments in their respective States.
