The Telangana Formation Day celebrations will be held across the State from 2nd to 7th June.
Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma on Wednesday held video-conference with the District Collectors and asked them to make elaborate arrangements for the first Formation Day celebrations. The celebrations will begin with the hoisting of national flag at all district headquarters at 9 AM on June 2. The main official celebration will be held at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad from 9.30 - 11.30 AM.
The entire city, especially landmarks like Raj Bhavan, Necklace Raod, Hussain Sagar, Lumbini Park, metro rail pillars, traffic signals and government buildings would be illuminated. Midnight celebrations will also be held at People's Plaza from 8 pm on June 2.
