Jana calls on KK over MLC polls

In a significant political development, Leader of Opposition K Jana Reddy on Wednesday called on TRS Secretary General K Keshava Rao at latter's residence.

During an hour-long meeting, Jana has reportedly urged KK to ensure unanimous elections for the six MLC seats which are going for polls on June 1. As per the strength in Assembly, the TRS can get four seats while Congress and TDP-BJP combine can get one each. However, voting would become mandatory, if TRS fields the fifth candidate.

KK has reportedly assured Jana Reddy that he would try to convince Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for unanimous elections.
