Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has announced that Gajwel, the constituency which he represents in the State Legislative Assembly, will be turned into the ultra-modern city.
The Chief Minister made this announcement after laying foundation stone for the development works worth Rs 98.72 crore in Gajwel constituency here on Saturday. Speaking to media persons here, KCR said Gajwel would be turned into a beautiful town in the next two years. Besides providing basic facilities, steps would be taken for the overall development to make it a model constituency.
KCR promised that each and every household in Gajwel would get 24-hour tap water supply. He also promised permanent housing for 2500-3000 poor families in his constituency. He said that the housing colonies would be completely modern and equipped with all latest facilities. Places of religious worships will also be constructed. The entire area would have modern drainage systems.
The Chief Minister said a Veg and Non-Veg market and Rythu Bazar would be constructed at the place of present junior college.
KCR laid foundation stone for the construction of 100-bedded hospital at a cost of Rs 18.50 crore, Auditorium worth Rs 6 crore, Girls Hostel worth Rs 21 crore and Boys Hostel worth Rs 21.45 crore. He also laid the foundation stone for a PHC worth Rs 1.20 crore in Markar.
Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, MP BB Patil, MLA Linga Reddy, Medak Collector Rahul Bojja and other senior officials were also present.
