KCR submits long wish list to PM

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence here on Monday evening.

During the meeting, which lasted for about 40 minutes, KCR discussed several issues concerning Telangana State. He requested the Prime Minister to ensure implementation of all assurances made in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. He requested that the Central Government bear 50 per cent of costs on Mission Kakatiya. He also invited Modi for the foundation stone laying ceremony of Mission Kakatiya.

KCR urged the Prime Minister to accord priority to Telangana, a new State, in the forthcoming Union Budget. He also requested his intervention for early clearance of pending projects and sanction of new railway projects for the State. He reiterated the demand that Pranahita-Chevella be accorded the status of National Project on par with Polavaram Project of Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister also sought Central assistance to conduct Godavari Pushkaralu at a grand scale. He sought Modi's intervention to establish a power line between Maharashtra to Dichpally. He also raised the demand for immediate bifurcation of High Command and setting up of separate High Court for Andhra Pradesh.
