The State Bajrang Dal has demanded that the Central Board of Film Certification prohibit the screening of latest Telugu movie “Gopala Gopala” which has scenes that injure sentiments of the majority community and making fun of Hindu gods, goddesses and spiritual leaders.
In a pressnote here on Friday, Bajrang Dal State convener Y Bhanu Prakash and print and electronic media incharge Bharat Vamsi alleged that nowadays films were being produced only for money leaving ethics and moral values to the wind and also to satisfy sadistic pleasure of the people of other religions.
The Bhajrang Dal leaders have urged the Censor Board officials not to approve “Gopala Gopala” for screening and prevent heart burning among the Hindu community on the eve of Sankranthi festival.
