Hyderabad, Dec 8: Expressing his worry over the continuing attacks by Telangana Rashtra Samithi activists on the residences of prominent people in the State, senior Congress leader and Minister for Health Danam Nagender on Tuesday warned them of stringent government action against those who take the law into their hands.Talking to media persons, he said the government, in its election manifesto, had promised to protect the lives of the people in the state as a whole. Many communities were living in peace and harmoniously with all others in the Greater Hyderabad.
Now, the prevailing situation disturbs the peace in the society, he pointed out.Before taking a decision on Telangana, the TRS should take into account the developments of Greater Hyderabad also, he said and added that he was not opposed to the formation of Telangana state. But he opposed to the attacks on the houses of leaders and the violent means resorted to in the name of separate state.He asked the students to agitate peacefully for the cause of Telangana without violating the rights of other individuals. If they violate the rights of others, the law would take its own course, he added.
