Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao was once again targeted the TDP Government of Andhra Pradesh while accusing it of not implementing the welfare schemes.
Intervening during the discussion on new ration cards during Question Hour in the Telangana Legislative Assembly on Thursday, Harish Rao objected to the TDP members staging a walkout on the issue. He advised that Telangana TDP leaders should ask their party's government in Andhra Pradesh to emulate TRS Government in implementing welfare schemes. When some TDP MLAs tried to protest, he reminded them they had already staged a walk-out on the issue and therefore, morally they cannot enter the House till the discussion on this subject is over.
Harish Rao alleged that Andhra Pradesh Government did not issue a single ration nor distributed pension among the beneficiaries. He gave a brief comparative analysis of schemes being implemented by both the governments. He said that the TRS Government was far ahead of AP in implementation of welfare schemes for the poor.
