KCR condemns media reports on Metro Rail project

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday reviewed the progress of Metro Rail Project with Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma and officials of L&T and Metro Rail project.

The issue of a news item published in couple of newspapers today also came up during the review. Those reports have been described as an “attempt to damage the interests of Telangana State”. “Though correspondence between the L&T and Metro is a routine thing, these selected newspapers have chosen to publish the latest correspondence mischievously and in isolation,” a press release from the Chief Minister’s Office said adding that it was a deliberate attempt to highlight the Metro Rail project in a bad shape.

“The issue has however been resolved with the involvement of CEO and MD L&T Vivek. B.Gadgil, HMRL MD NVS Reddy, Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma, Principal Secretary to CM S.Narsing Rao and Advisor to Govt. Papa Rao,” the release said.
