Information Technology Minister K Tarakarama Rao on Thursday said that Telangana would become a model State in the next three years.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of Green Buildings International Conference at Hitex, the minister said that the Telangana Government was giving high priority to the initiatives like conservation of energy, pollution control, renewable energy resources among others. He said the ambitious project of plantation of 230 crore trees would be implemented soon. He said that the government would develop one crore square feet of space for the poor and develop over 1,000 slums.
KTR said that Hyderabad would soon be turned into a Smarter, Safer and Cleaner city in India and traditional architecture would also be given a modern look. He hoped that Telangana would emerge as one of the best States in the country in the next three years.
