The Crime Investigation Department of Telangana Police has informed that as many as nine cases have been registered in connection with the alleged Indiramma Housing scam.
"In view of several allegations of misuse of Weaker Section Housing Program by certain unscrupulous persons and misuse of funds from 2004 to 2014, the government has ordered for a detailed investigation by the CID vide GO No 9 dated 26-07-2014," CID IG Charu Sinha said in a press release. The cases are being investigated with Special Investigation Teams (SIT) consisting of about 22 police officers from CID and 37 Police Officers from all districts of Telangana. The cases have been registered based on complaints from Project Directors of Housing Department of nine districts.
