Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday reiterated that his government was firm on ensuring overall development of Telangana State.
Addressing the brainstorming session with his Cabinet colleagues, district Collectors, Joint Collectors and officials concerned at the MCR HRD Institute here, KCR said that the TRS Government would fulfill all the promises that it made with the people. He made it clear that the farm loan waiver promise would be fulfilled at any cost and the same would be finalised during the next meeting of the State cabinet. He also announced the setting up of a State Advisory Board comprising representatives from different sections of the society.
The Chief Minister announced that Hyderabad would grow by three-fold from its present size after the completion of different projects, especially the Information Technology Investment Region. Besides setting up agricultural research centres at various places, a Research Center will be set up in Medak while the Turmeric Research Center would be established in Nizamabad. Taking advantage of presence of ICRISAT, the city would be converted into the “Seed Bowl” of India.
KCR also made it clear that maintenance of law and order would be given top priority in Telangana. He said there was no space for illegal activities in Telangana, especially Hyderabad. He strongly defended the demolition of illegal structure in the city. He also assured action against those involved in Rs 235 crore Housing scam and fake ration cards.
KCR said that two new airports would be set up in Telangana. While the first airport will be located at Keesara, the other one will be constructed at Shamirpet.
The Chief Minister also hinted at scrapping some of the laws that existed in united Andhra Pradesh. Stating that the Telangana State has 8,500 Sarpanches, 6,473 MPTC, 441 ZPTC and MPP, 62 Municipalities, six corporations, 1,388 municipal wards, he said that the Panchayat Raj System would be revived for fast addressing of grievances. He said that the development plans need to be formulated at village levels.
The Chief Minister also listed out various plans that his government proposes to implement.
