Deputy Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir on Tuesday accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of not giving importance to the issue of public importance.
Speaking to media persons here, Shabbir Ali said that the Telangana State was facing problems like shortage of drinking water, power criris, lack of irrigation facilities and uncertainity over fee reimbursement. Further, the government has missed June 30, the deadline to settle the farm loans. However, he said that the TRS Government has failed to take any positive step in the last one month of its rule.
Shabbir Ali said that it was highly condemnable that the Chief Minister was focused more on encouraging defections in opposition parties than resolving the issues being faced by the people. He said that the TRS Government has been setting a wrong precedent of winning elections by encouraging revolt in other parties.
He demanded that the discussions should be held on drought situation and upcoming monsoon season in the next session of the Legislative Council.
