Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Palle Raghunath Reddy on Tuesday said that the State Government would take all measures to promote Information Technology in several cities and towns.
Speaking to media persons in the State Secretariat here, Raghunath Reddy said that the undivided Andhra Pradesh had turnover of nearly Rs 36,000 crore in the IT sector. However, the share of Seemandhra region was a mere Rs 700 crore. Therefore, he said steps were being taken to attract investments in the IT sector by offering sops to the companies. He said new areas were being identified which could be promoted as IT hubs of Andhra Pradesh.
Raghunath Reddy said that the process of IT promotion has already begun and a series of meetings are being held with the officials to prepare a comprehensive IT policy of Andhra Pradesh Government.
