Rajnath Singh accuses Congress of delaying T-formation

BJP National President Rajnath Singh accused the Congress party of deliberately delaying the formation of Telangana which led to the suicide by over 1100 people for the cause of statehood.

Addressing a public meeting at Nizam College Grounds on Tuesday evening, Rajnath Singh accused the Congress party of playing "dirty politics" over the Telangana issue. He said that the Congress party was compelled to give Telangana due to the pressure of Bharatiya Janata Party. He said that if the Congress party was sincere about Telangana, then it would have initiated the bifurcation process long back and not at the fag end of its term.

Rajnath Singh promised that if BJP comes to power in ensuing elections, then it would equally develop both Telangana and Seemandhra region. He said that both the regions were facing the problem of farmers' suicide, naxal menace, shortage of drinking water, among other issues and only the BJP Government could resolve those problems.
