Former Minister Dokka Manikyavara Prasad on Thursday requested the Congress High Command to nominate a Backward Classes leader for the post of Chief Minister.
Speaking to media persons at the State Secretariat here, Dokka said that the Congress High Command could consider the candidature of union ministers JD Seelam or Panabaka Lakshmi for the post. Else he said, Medical Education Minister Kondru Murali Mohan was also capable of leading the State. When asked whether he was in the race for the CM's post, he ruled out the possibilities and said that he was not capable of becoming the Chief Minister.
Dokka said that he would abide by the decision of the Congress leadership and would work to strengthen the party in his constituency and district.
