State Minister D Manikya VaraPrasad Rao on Monday announced that he would abide by the decision of majority on Telangana statehood issue.
Speaking to media persons after meeting PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana at Gandhi Bhavan here, Dokka said that he would abide the decision of the Congress High Command. However, he said he would continue to convey the feelings of people of his region. He said that if the division of Andhra Pradesh is inevitable, then the Centre should consider making Kondaveedu near Amravathi in Guntur district for the new capital of residual state of Andhra Pradesh.
Dokka said that he discussed several issues including the prevailing political situation in the State with the PCC President.
It may be mentioned that Dokka is among the top contenders for the post of Chief Minister for post-bifurcation Andhra Pradesh.
