Congress Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao on Thursday condemned Seemandhra leaders for seeking Union Territory status for Hyderabad.
Describing Hyderabad as the heart of Telangana, he said that the people of this region could not give away their heart to Seemandhra leaders. He said that Hyderabad should be the capital of Telangana State without any string attached. He said any change in its status would not be acceptable to the people.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, VHR advised Seemandhra leaders to concentrate on building a new capital for their region than eyeing on Hyderabad, which belongs to Telangana.
