Briefing the media persons after meeting the GoM, Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy said that a presentation was made before the GoM and also written representation was given seeking a perfect Telangana, with no strings attached. He said Hyderabad's revenue division, not the HDMA limits, should be treated as joint capital for 10 years for both the States and its revenues should be utilised only by Telangana State. Stating that Bhadrachalam is part of Khammam district and therefore, it should be part of Telangana State.

Jaipal Reddy said that the Telangana State was found to suffer from shortage of power after division. Therefore, some formula should be worked out to overcome the shortage till the State establishes its own power plants in the next 10 to 15 years. Similarly, a tribunal should be formed to decide the sharing of Krishna River waters between the two States. He said that the Article 371 (D) should be continued in both the States and there was no need to make any constitutional amendment.
