Andhra Pradesh Finance and Legislative Affairs minister K Rosaiah today lost his temper when Telugu Desam Party MLAs led by Muddukrishnamma Naidu, stalled the proceedings when the House was to take up discussion on budget after Question Hour.
Distressed by the TDP members' ''non-cooperative'' attitude, Mr Rosaiah angrily asked Mr Naidu as to ''you(Naidu) are the only able man in your party. Without any shame and manners, you are asking for time for your colleagues''.
There was pandemonium in the house for sometime, with the TDP members taking strong objection to Mr Rosaiah's remarks and staged vociferous protests. The ruling Congress members too were not far behind, they were on their feet and shouted back at the TDP members for disrupting the proceedings.
Deputy Speaker N Manohar had a torrid time in restoring the order in House.
The trouble erupted after senior TDP MLA N Janardhan Reddy, making a mention during the Zero Hour, alleged that a case was ''foisted''against him under the SC/ST Atrocities Act for exposing ''corruption'' in his constituency and made some derogatory remarks against the Chief Minister's Office. Speaker N Kirankumar Reddy expunged the remarks and adjourned the House for tea break. After the tea break when the House reassembled, the TDP members disrupted the proceedings for over 15 minutes demanding that the issue be taken up again.
Later, Mr Rosaiah suggested that the member could give a privilege notice to the Speaker on the issue. Earlier when the House assembled for the day, the opposition party the TDP stalled the proceedings briefly after the Speaker disallowed the adjournment motion notice by the TDP, Telangana Rashtra Samiti, Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Praja Rajyam Party over the adverse climatic conditions in the state. The Speaker also disallowed the adjournment motion notices by the All India Majilis-E-Itihadul Muslimeen on release of those serving life sentence and the BJP on loans for artisans.
